Who is an Open Austin Volunteer?
Open Austin volunteers are proactive, collaborative learners and teachers. When Open Austinites aren't volunteering to build open source technology to give back to Central Texas, we're developing the outreach and communications to make that happen.
All levels of experience are welcome, including those just starting out and career changers pivoting into tech. We'll meet you where you're at!
Let's build for the people, by the people, in the digital era.

Can Former Open Austinites Get Re-involved?
We love our Open Austin alumni!
COVID did a number on everyone. If you want to restart being an individual contributor, come to volunteer orientation.
You can also become a Civic Data Fellowship mentor, Community of Civic Practice speaker, or community and corporate connector. For more information, visit Become a Community Partner and Become a Corporate Partner.
Finally, you can donate. Every dollar counts; even better if your employer matches.
As always, alumni have an open invite to all Open Austin events. Stay tuned for alumni-specific programming!
